2016 Annual Leadership Summit

2014. President Francesca Peña led DANR towards successfully undertaking public advocacy positions and actions on important issues, including strongly supporting the National Museum of the American People. The museum aims at showcasing the contributions of the different groups that have arrived and settled in the United States of America. President Peña summoned DANR past presidents and community leaders to the U.S. Capitol for “Introspection: A Call to Action,” the first historic national summit of Dominican American leaders. She commissioned a blueprint report of the conference. Presenters included Dr. Silvio Torres-Saillant. Professor Rev. Alejandro Benjamin and DANR Chairman Néstor Montilla. Public Accomplishment: President summons DANR past presidents and community leaders to the U.S. Capitol for “Introspection: A Call to Action,” the first historic national summit of Dominican American leaders. A blueprint report of the summit is produced by DANR VP, Professor Rev. Alejandro Benjamin.
